Cyra Check is a gentle daily phone activity check app designed to help people who live alone stay connected with a trusted contact.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Cyra Check may collect, how it is used, and when simple daily email updates may be sent.

Information We Collect

Cyra Check may collect and store the following information needed to provide the app’s Morning Check feature:

User’s name or nickname
Trusted contact email address
Trusted contact consent setting
Morning Check ON/OFF setting
Phone activity status
Last recorded phone activity time
Last Message status
Time-related app status needed for the daily check process

This information is used only to provide Cyra Check’s daily phone activity check features.

Phone Activity Information

Cyra Check looks for phone activity during the morning check window as a simple sign of phone use.

Cyra Check does not send browsing history, private messages, photos, call logs, app names, location, medical information, or personal phone content to the trusted contact.

Cyra Check records phone activity signals only. It does not monitor a person’s physical activity, health condition, location, fall status, or emergency status.

Information Sent to the Trusted Contact

Cyra Check may send one simple daily email update to the trusted contact when Morning Check is ON and setup is complete.

The trusted contact may receive:

A Cyra Update if phone activity was recorded during the morning check window
A Cyra Notice if no phone activity was recorded during the morning check window

These updates may include the user’s name or nickname, the trusted contact email address, the time of the update, and a simple status message.

The trusted contact does not receive detailed phone usage information.

When Emails May Be Sent

Cyra Check may send one daily email update around 10:01 AM after the morning check window.

Cyra Check may send email updates in these situations:

Phone activity was recorded during the morning check window.
No phone activity was recorded during the morning check window.

Cyra Check is designed to avoid duplicate daily email updates when possible.

No manual daily check-in is required.

Trusted Contact Consent

Before using Cyra Check, the user should make sure the trusted contact understands and agrees to receive Cyra Check email updates.

Trusted contacts should understand that Cyra Check messages are simple phone activity status updates and may not fully reflect the user’s real-world condition.

Third-Party Services

Cyra Check may use third-party services to send email updates and support app functionality.

The current email delivery path may include:

Cyra Check app → backend email service → Gmail or email delivery service → trusted contact

These services are used only to help deliver Cyra Check’s daily email updates and related app functions.

Not an Emergency Service

Cyra Check records phone activity signals only.

Cyra Check does not guarantee a person’s safety.

Cyra Check is not an emergency service, medical device, medical monitoring service, fall detection service, or safety guarantee.

Cyra Check does not call emergency services. It does not provide medical advice and does not guarantee that help will arrive.

Cyra Check does not replace emergency services, medical care, medical alert systems, professional caregiving, or direct personal contact.

In an emergency, call emergency services directly.

User Control

The user can turn Morning Check on or off inside the app.

The user may update their name or nickname and trusted contact email address inside the app.

Cyra Check does not currently create user accounts or maintain a separate customer database.

Setup information, such as the user’s name or nickname, trusted contact email address, Morning Check setting, trusted contact consent setting, and recent phone activity status information, is stored locally on the user’s device.

Users may remove locally stored setup information by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app.

Users may also contact hello@cyracheck.com to request deletion of any Cyra Check-related information that may exist in backend or email processing records.
